Scope and Contents

The Purdue Newsreel began in 1956 as a yearly film, and later video, review of university events of the previous year. Contents of each recording focus upon academics, student activities, campus structures, athletics, and special events. One silent film, circa 1943-1945, is also included in the collection. In 2013, the Purdue Newsreel was renamed the Purdue Year in Review.

The Purdue World War I announcements and publications collection contains several publications regarding the assistance Purdue provided to the United States during its involvement in World War I. Other publications within the collection relate to life at Purdue during this period.

The Purdue World War II announcements and publications collection contains several publications regarding Purdue's contributions to the United States Military during World War II. Accelerated wartime course syllabi and other class information offered to those planning on joining the military are located in the collection.

Scope and Contents The Robert W. Topping papers (1930-1996; 2.75 cubic feet) collection consists of many newspaper clippings, news releases, ten interviews on cassette tapes and miscellaneous printed ephemera that Robert W. Topping collected, while on the staff of the Purdue University Office of Publications for twenty-eight years.
